--a review of a film submitted over e-mail to:http://arachnid.pepperdine.edu/goseweb/movie.htm

--participation in a Chat Room experience (tba)

--attendance (at least eleven full classes) and class participation

--a ten to twenty page paper due by the fifteenth week

--a class presentation with use of video clips or other "project"

--attendance at the in class running commentary on either BoyZNTheHood or To Sleep with Anger (or both)

--a midterm exam on key terms, names, titles, and course concepts

--a final, summative exam

--completion of all required reading

--the viewing of twenty films covered in the class and/or text
