Option F. School Films
1. Read the articles (and portions of articles) on reserve in the Library for this topic. 2. See eleven films (at least one for each of the five categories listed below). Then, one film at a time, notify me via e-mail when and where you saw the film, and include a paragraph in which you relate points from the article to an understanding of the respective film. It is usually useful to include at least two quotations from the text and to explain how those quotations are useful to your understanding of the film. 3. Then by the end of the course, turn in a five page paper in which you use any or all of the concepts from the articles to analyze one of the films in detail and depth. If your review does not result in a five page paper, please respond to the -Expressive Outcomes- assignment from the last paragraph of the description of Option A. Approved Films:
