Option M. Religious Films.
1. Read my manuscript on reserve, "Reel Values." 2. Watch eleven films from the list cited below. 3. On the basis of the definition of "religious" value by Spranger, evaluate whether each film is truly a "religious" film. After each film notify me where and when you watched the film and add a paragraph about the issue of how the film is or is not religious. Quote specifically from Spranger, don't change his definition of "religious." Submit only one review at a time and wait until you have received my feedback before you write a subsequent review. 4. By the end of the term, write a five page paper in which you review a single film in terms of its religious values. If the paper is less than five pages, please respond to the "Expressive Outcomes" assignment in the last paragraph of the description of Option A.
