Option D. Chinese Culture.
1. Read: A Brief Background to the Chinese Way of Life, from Encountering the Chinese by Hu Wenzhong. This article ends with a list of fundamental and basic values for Chinese people. 2. See the eleven films listed below (each should be available in our Educational Media department in the library). Then, one film at a time, notify me via e-mail when and where you saw the film, AND include a paragraph in which you discuss the extent to which the values in the movie you saw compares and/or contrasts with the list of values included in the Wenzhong article. Be careful to use the specific content of that article in your review! 3. By the end of class write a five page paper. This paper should be an in depth review of the values in one of the eleven films seen above. Please use details from the movie to support your points. If this paper is less than five pages, or if you want to consider the question anyway, please respond to the -Expressive Outsomce- assignment from the last paragraph of the description of Option A.
