1. Read the section on reserve in the library from Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations." 2. Read the section from Gose's "Reel Values" on Spranger paying particular attention to the "Economic" value. 3. Read the following pages and sections from Riddell's "Economics: A Tool for Understanding Society" on reserve in the Library: Part 1, pages 1-3; 41-45; 57-65; 202-214; 229-234; 243-245; 250-252; 252-258; 456-461; 468-471; 501-503; 534-536; 567-572; 589-590; 600-601. 4. See eleven of the films identified below and then one film at a time critique it from the relevant academic perspective of your reading. For each film you view notfiy me via e-mail when and where you saw the film, and include a paragraph in which you relate at least one key concept from the reading to analyze something specific about the respective film. It is usually useful to include at least two quotations from the text. Be sure to wait for my feedback regarding your review before you write a subsequent review. 5. By the end of the term submit a five page paper in which you thoroughly analyze one of the films from a Business/Economics point of view.
