1. Read my manuscript, Reel Values, on reserve in the Library.

2. Especially note the description of the aesthetic values in the Spranger and Maslow chapters.

3. Watch eleven films from those listed below. After each film notify me via e-mail of where and when you watched the film. Also include a paragraph in which you compare the conceptual material on aesthetics to the movie. Be sure to stick to Spranger's definition of aesthetics! It is usually helpful to quote from his description. Submit only one review at a time and wait until you have received feedback from me before you write a subsequent review.

4. By the end of the term write an in depth five page analysis/review on the aesthetic values of one of the films you have watched.
